Ssanders224
Hi guys, Looking for a mount for a Vortex Viper PST im buying, and ran across the mount linked below. Looks pretty solid, but wondering if anyone has any experience with it? I dont need QD. Thanks for any feedback. http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/cantilever-ring-mount-for-30mm-riflescope-tube-2-inch-offset Edited November 12, 2012 by Ssanders224
WhiteRubi
I bought it. I'm not 100% satisfied. It looks/feels cheaply made. I'll be making the switch to a higher end quick release soon

I'm more worried about if it holds zero, and fits the rail and scope properly? Also, hows the mounting height?
WhiteRubi
Height is okay considering I have a PRS stock. The finish looks cheap and like it won't last. The fit to rail was fine. The roundness of the hole for scope mounting doesn't look round. After lapping, it fits. It holds zero after 100 rounds but I can't say what will happen after it takes a beating. I think you effectively changed my mind ha. Guess I'll either bite the bullet and go larue, or try a Burris.

WhiteRubi
Doesn't look like any of the ADM mounts I saw on their website. Not saying it isn't, but it sure doesn't look the same.

WhiteRubi
I'm pretty sure it has a "made in china" sticker on the mount. I'll check when I get home. The optic is made overseas as well.
GregSmith
You should really look into the Warne RAMP mount. I run it on my Colt Pro .308. Lots of people I know run it on their AR's. If you watch the 3 Gun Nation TV show...almost all of those guys are running the Warne RAMP mount.
