SVI4ME
I am signed up for the Western States single stack match in AZ in Jan. I just weighed my bone stock except for Tec Wear mag well. The gun comes in at 42.7 oz with an empty mag inserted. Am I going to meet the weight limit? How can I shed ozs. besides taking off mag well? Am I ok? SVI4ME
Ok my Techwell and grips are supposed to be 2 oz. Found it
rln
Using a short GI guide rod instead of the two piece full length guide rod would shave some weight.
pbosik
43oz is max with a empty mag inserted, so 42.7 is good.
EkuJustice
polymer msh shaves weight too.
40S&W
If you can weigh you gun with empty mag inserted on a postal scale. If it still reads 42.7 you are good to go.
Norther
If you decide you still need to shave weight, try a Briley aluminum guide rod.
oak hill
If you are that close it might be a good idea to make sure your scale is calibrated, you don't want to be 43.01 at the match
