I always want to tip them over. You can park a bike ANYWHERE, why do you need to take my spot?

i brought this thread back because i didn't get to coment on the the subject.

this is my coment:

look, it's a parking space! the only space that makes a difference is a hadicap space.

if it fits it fits. now shut up and walk.

Back when I rode bikes I always parked on the sidewalk. I’d rather eat the ticket than let some big greezy car bumper get anywhere near one of my bikes.

Sidewalk parking was nearly the only way to go when I rode in Florida. Asphalt melts under the kickstand!

Don't know about the USA, but here in NL officially it is illegal to park a bike on the sidewalk and you have to park your bike in an official parking space....

Most people however will park their bike on the sidewalk if reasonably possible and no cop will give you a ticket for that.

It's all about giving and taking, and realizing that other people might have valid reasons to do the things they do too .

I'd park on the sidewalk where I knew I could without getting a ticket. But a lot of places, the cops were jerks about it. When using a parking space, I'd usually park to one side so another bike could pull in beside me.

I wish there were more places that have designated motorcycle parking areas.
