bountyhunter
"I try to say thank you to every service person I can." I've done similar things... even addressed them as "Sir" and "Ma'am" at the very least, or by their rank if I know it or was told it.. That's funny because when my wife is in uniform and goes out to lunch with her crew, guys come over and start asking what branch of the service it is and all that. In her case they are just hitting on her.
Liota
Bounty Hunter, My answer to those who say "if you didn't serve, you don't have an opinion on the war." is this, "You are entitled to an opinion of the war, but you do not have the right to denegrate the men and women of the armed forces who serve your country so you can have an opinion." tightloop
Liota wearing or having worn the uniform of one of the service branches that defend our country, we have a special appreciation about what the uniform and that duty means....those that haven't had that experience...sometimes don't have a clue about how sensitive we can be about it....I agree with you 100%...
