hax
This may have been asked before, but I couldn't find it. What are the differences between the regular tool-less base pad and the SNL tool-less base pad. I know the SNL might not fit the gauge, depending on your setup. But why do people lean towards the SNL if it might now fit the gauge? They are both +1 base pads, correct?
EkuJustice
the SNL is like a +1 and then some. It is similar to the difference between the bolon 3mm and 4mm pads. They lean towards it because it gives a little more room in the tube. I use the standard +1 on a STI tube with Gram guts and get 20 in the mag without worry. For me, its not worth filing feed lips to push it that close to the line
hax
Thank you, and I think pat helped me out too with the dimension difference
Sean Gaines
Thank you, and I think pat helped me out too with the dimension difference They are both tooless, All of my limited magazines 140's have SNL's, and in open there is no real reason to use the +1 for the 140mm mags, personally I would just use the snl, you will be getting the most capacity out of your 140mag. You might want to measure your 170mm mag with an snl and gauge it to see if it will be to legal legnth.
