ErichF
Anyone using these bullets, and if so, what is your recipe for powder/COL? I have about a pound of Win 231 but have access to Unique and other powders at the LGS. My load data book on 9mm doesn't have data specific to these bullets. I will be shooting these out of a 5.25" XDm. TIA,
1911pilot
I just tried some with N320. Not sure whats going on as they all seem to be shooting down and left (I'm pretty sre I'm not flinching...) Clean as can be though. Ive got 2k so I think I'll figure it out soon. I'm just on my 2nd round, I'm upping the powder load a bit again for next time. I wish I could find real load data on these instead of just interpolating across a half dozen different manuals and sources.
mizer67
My best load for the PD 124 JHP is 5.0 grains of N340, Speer case, CCI primer 1.12" OAL. Another good load (of BE forum member Darrel) that I tried is 4.8 grains N340, Speer case, Win primer, 1.08 OAL for 131 PF. These I've shot through mainly my Glocks and they run well and are very accurate @ 25 yards from my OEM barreled Glock 17, at least for a Glock. ErichF
OK, good info fellas! Keep em coming. I need to cross reference N340 with Win231 to see what an equivalent charge is. I'll check the LGS and see if they carry N340, too.
AS350Driver
I've loaded these with 4.3g of W231. They cycle perfectly through my M&P, and are accurate. I'm not sure about making PF, but I just got a chrono so i'll let you know how they do.
DWFAN
4-4.1 gr of titegroup. Any jacketed data will get you close. Then chrono in your gun. Edited February 17, 2012 by DWFAN
AS350Driver
I just got back from the range. The average velocity I got with 4.3g of W231 was 1044fps, which gives me 129.4 power factor. OAL is 1.140, and feeds perfectly. Hope this helps.
