Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Digging up this post because I wish I'd have seen it earlier... I've been running my 650 for almost a year now and I've had great success with: N310 N320 N340 AA#2 231 Terrible mess, powder bar sticking, inconsistent drops with AA#5. The AA#5 seems to run OK for about the first 100 then it seems to get itself worked into all the little nooks and crannies of the powder measure.
  2. Clean and possibly replace the springs, I had this problem awhile back, fixed it by a serious deep clean and a mild polish.
  3. I went back to no thrust bearing at my last cleaning since the shellplate lockup thing got kind of annoying. I greased the heck out of everything in all the right places with slide glide when i put it back together and tweaked the shellplate bolt just right and it runs perfectly now. I need to get around to taking some pics because I went nuts with some of the LED strip that Dan uses and lit it up like crazy from multiple angles.
  4. Nice setup Youngeyes! To those of you running a setup like this what are you using to drive the counter? Is it some type of microprocessor like Arduino or is it simpler? I'd like to do something like this as well after I get done rebuilding my bench. I also did a rework on the inline fabrication lighting concept, I went a few steps further and actually got a different color, warm white, and cut it into multiple small strips that I placed around the toolhead. (I got a lot of the LED strips actually, I've been using them to light up my kitchen and multiple areas at work as well.)
  5. I've got a nice redding beam scale but I've pretty much replaced it with the digital scale I got from Brian.
  6. Thanks Guys, I'll give the N340 a shot.
  7. I just tried some with N320. Not sure whats going on as they all seem to be shooting down and left (I'm pretty sre I'm not flinching...) Clean as can be though. Ive got 2k so I think I'll figure it out soon. I'm just on my 2nd round, I'm upping the powder load a bit again for next time. I wish I could find real load data on these instead of just interpolating across a half dozen different manuals and sources.
  8. I like my old Midway separator. I'm probably going to change to using the new style Franford arsenal basket with the old bucket though.
