johniac7078
Wel, I am still on my quest for a 1911 for IDPA, but I live in MA. Being a MA resident, many 1911s are off limits. One choice is the Para SSP. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I own a S&W 1911, I like it and it has never given me trouble over 5K rounds. Should I get the Para or another S&W? I like to shoot 45acp, but am thinking about a 1911 in 9mm.....the only one allowed in MA is a S&W......just writing this makes me depressed. PLEASE let me know what you think. Take Care. Mike21STI
I hear you can buy whatever 1911 you want from out of state, you just need to find a ffl that will do the transfer in for you. I'm no lawyer and don't want to give out misinformation so check with a local store that may be able to clarify it... But to answer your question, i'd probably go with another SW, i remember hearing that sig is on the approved list so you could possibly have a 3rd option
jmnjoeyd1
Im in Ma. also and the selection just plain sucks. I have a Sig 1911. They are Mass. Compliant and can be found in most Mass. gunshops at around 850.00ish. Its a good shooter and reliable. Im using it in uspsa single stack this year and so far so good.
