sparky74
I know Remington doesn't recommend it but I have an 1100 21" slug barrel that looks the same as the 1187 and fits in my 1187, what is the problem with shooting it? Sorry if its been discussed before but I haven't seen it and I just acquired this barrel recently.
Intel6
I don't know about an 1100 barrel on an 11-87 but i can tell you that I have a 11-87 21" barrel that I put on my 1100 and it worked. I needed to use the light load activator with it to get it to cycle lighter loas but other than that it was fine. The shorter 11-87 barrels have two gas ports just like the old 1100 barrels and they do not have the gas system. It is just me but I would give it a try. After comparing the 11-87 barrel to my 1100 barrels I don't see a difference. The gas compensating system of the 11-87 is in the barrel so try it and see if it works.
