PW linkage diffrens

The RL 1050 throw is 166%.

The Super 1050 is 180%.

(I may have that backwards, not sure right now...LOL)

I fought a RL unit for 3 years, broke two arms and had it adjusted the best I could but it still overcammed.

I don't have any experience on the Super unit, but I suspect it is better but the same.

I personally would use the PW unit to process brass, but that is it. I would not load on it, especially rifle ammo.

That is my opinion based on 3 years using the RL unit, calling PW for advice, and speaking to friends who had them and experienced the same thing I did.

Your results may vary......a lot of people like them....

Good luck,

DougC

  • 2 weeks later...

I brought a drive fro my RL.. turned out after days of messing with it (and confirming via phone to PW) that I had a Super drive ( the stub and bases are different)

Sold the RL and brought a Super press and its pretty good.

Takes a bit of messing around with and really requires all stations full with setting up as when empty the load/leveage on the press is less, and when setup with cases in it and run empty, it hits the stops hard, but when run after setting up empty, misses the stops by a mile.

I have a few ideas on how to fix it - its all simple geometry in the end.
