ddpenn
Has anybody ever used a Harvey deprimer? I like to deprime before cleaning in walnut, but I dont want to get dirt and crud in my press. 49.95 is not to unreasonable a price. http://harveydeprimer.com/ - They have a couple of videos. noylj
You can buy the little Lee Reloading Press for $30 and the Lee Universal depriming die, and have a small press for little jobs.
ddpenn
I have watched videos of people operating the lee hand press and it looks cumbersome plus I guess I dont understand how the universal deprimer works, By that I mean dont you have to change the shell holder for every different caliber? This looks like it would solve that problem. Also, the lee press looks like something Suzanne Somers would sell to tone, shape and firm your inner thighs. noylj
Lee Reloading Press: Unless you have a Co-Ax press with "universal" shell holder, then you do need a shell holder for difference calibers. 9x19, .38 Super, .40S&W and 10mm Auto can usually used the same shell holder. Since you are simply knocking out the primer, there is no die/case "stiction" to over come, so simply placing the case on the ram and keeping the case aligned to the decapping pin is all you need. The die body makes no contact with the case.
