Jim Norman
It is the first day of First Grade. The teacher announces to the class that this being 'real school' for 'Big Kids' that she will only allow grown up words to be used, no more baby talk. So she starts by asking everyone what they did over the Summer. Little Billy says: "I visited my Nana" Teacher says, that's very nice, but we use big people words now, so you visited your Grandmother. Little Mary says: "I went for a ride on a Choo-Choo" Teacher says, that's very nice, but we use big people words now, so you went for a ride in a Train. Little Johnny sits there very quietly, Teacher asks him what he did. He thinks it over and says, "I read a book" Teacher says that's very nice, what book did you read? Little Johnny is obviously in deep thought here, teacher wants an answer. So Little Johnny names the book... Winnie the $HIT!
