bigstick0000
My son bought a new xd9 this week, shot at a match today. Friend installed some type of recoil reducer spring and rod in it. Unsure of make. Went to take the slide off to remove the reducer after th match and the slide will not come off. Any ideas??? thanks

RIIID
If the open end of the spring was put against the guide rod head, it can over ride the guide rod head and make it difficult to get the top end off. It may require a bit of force to get the top end off. Rich
SlowShooter
I don't know of this is the same problem you have or not: there is a rare but known problem where the slide can get jammed during disassembly/reassembly on the XD's. I read about it on the XdTalk forums, several posts there about various methods to un-jam the slide, with varying results. Search the xdTalk website forums for specific info.
