tavman
If I were going to build a custom 1911/2011, I like the idea of a bushing barrel so that I have the versatility to shoot USPSA and IDPA with the same gun. Kill two birds with on stone so to speak IMO.
oneton
with my budget build on my first 2011 i built it to play IDPA. so i have a short dust cover and bushing barrel with a unique slide. i have shot a 6in gun built by kevin toothman and i have fallen in love so now i have two slide set ups for my one frame. a 6in slide lighted clasic cut bull groved barrel. the main thing is to shoot one gun a lot. rhd2542
I have had both I like the bull barrel. As a B shooter I think the weight worked better for me in getting better hits with the second shoot.
