38supr
Im trying to decide between a caspian single stack that holds nine plus one or an sti eagle double that holds 10 plus one in 38super which is the same caliber as my open gun. Plus i want to be able to shoot it in IDPA esp. Which way should I go?
Flexmoney
For a Steel Challenge type match, the extra round won't make any difference. If you need ten or eleven in a five round string, then you have blown that run anyway. So, I'd go with what feels best or what you prefer for IDPA. Perhaps you could get another slide/barrel (non-compensated) fitted for your Open gun?
2alpha
It depends on what class you're in. Flex is right for the higher class but if you're a C or D the extra rounds may make a difference especially for man on man steel like the Handgunner. SRT Driver
I don't think one round makes a difference. Pick the setup that feels best to you and which you shoot the best. Remember too that STI etc 10 rnd mags cost much more than ss mags.
warpspeed
38 supr, If you already have a widebody open gun, why not stick with the same platform for a steel gun. Same trigger, same magazines, same caliber. Makes sense to me.
