I'm looking for a minor load to shoot steel from my new gun.

It's a 6'' barrel with a 3 chamber comp.

I'm looking for a receipe with components I have on hand:

Bullets

115 gn

124 gn

147 gn

Powder:

SP2

N320

N340

N350

3N38

Any suggestions?

I bet the 115 with N320 would be your best choice but I don't have any personal load data for it. I use the MG 95 JHP with 4.7 N320 out of my Open shorty and it is excellent. The VV manual list the 115 at 3.9 - 4.5 so I would try the lower end of 3.8/3.9 and see how you like that. Should be super soft and accurate.

You're not going to get any gas to work you comp with a minor load. I run 4 grains of 320 behind a Zero, 125 grain jhp as my minor load. Some guys like 147 grain bullets, but, it feels to ME like I'm waiting for the gun to cycle. :surprise:

Try both, and see what you like best!
