magboy
Hi, Folks - I have Bushmaster AR-15 SBR (Short barrel kit from Bushmaster - 11.5" - Birdcage FS) I am considering a Gemtech Halo suppressor - Gemtech says they supply a peel washer to replace your crush washer. Question (Usual dumb one!): How can I tell which one I have on my firearm? Thanks - Happy Memorial Day and standing by. magboy
magboy
I meant to say that GT provides peel washer to replace the crush washer if that is what you have on there. magboy

A peel washer is silver looks like a standard washer but is made up of several layers of metal that can be shaved off to get the right timing. EkuJustice
I like the PWS washers. Its shims and works like a peel washer without having to peel it
magboy
Hi, Genlemens - Thanks for kind responses - the washer on mine clearly loks like a crush washer. What is a "PWS washer"? All the best, regards and standing by. magboy

bsmith918
Spike's also has the PWS washer with their name on it. I'm not sure who actually makes them, but I like them better than the actual peel washers.

mpeltier
Use the peel washer that comes with the Gemtech. Do not worry about what's on there now. Are your initials DR?

It was your screen name and your signature sighn off line that gave you away. Let me know how you like the gemtec. I have been using a yhm stainless phantom with much success.
