imknadian
Does anyone have any experience loading 180gr Lead Round Nose bullets for their CZ TS .40 cal? I have been loading 180 gr jacketed bullets for it with 4.8gr of Tightgroup with good results but would just like something a little more economical for plinking and practicing. Per thousand the lead are $80 here where the jacketed bullets are around $130/thousand. I could shoot quite a bit more for the price of the lead bullets. If you have any loads I should start with or any experience, I'd like to hear your comments or advice. Thanks in advance.
ChrisW
I worked up this load for my XDm 4.5 40 cal. It should be close to your CZ. I went with the Precision because they don't lead your barrel. All of these are 185gr 40 cal Precision Bullets with Win 231 powder at 1.143 OAL. Temp about 73 and high humidity. Shooting indoors. 4.4 gr 813 870 851 873 883 858 avg 158.7 PF 4.5 gr 883 891 855 875 842 869 avg 160.8 PF 4.6 gr 891 888 891 922 897 897 avg 165.9 PF 4.7 gr 874 913 890 897 897 893 avg 165.2 PF 4.8 gr 946 937 929 917 914 928 avg 171.7 PF I hope this helps. noypi916
I use to load BC TC 180gr on my TS. I'm using 4.4gr of n320 with the OAL of 1.125. Makes the PF of 169 on my chrono. Hope that helps.
