  1. I would think that this is being postponed or cancelled as most states continue to extend and enforce social distancing. I would think that all matches through at least May and maybe June will be doing this. I know I will not be participating in any group activities until this is well past us. I love to shoot but will not be taking any chances personally. Chris
  2. I have the Remeo5 on a new PCC I got right before all this hit. I have gotten to shoot about 300 rds through it and the sight disappears completely when shooting with both eyes open. I was worried because the window is not the biggest but it works really well. Got it for about $120 so I got a 2nd to have a backup. I was really shocked at how the only thing I see is the dot on the target with both eyes open. First time shooting a dot on anything and I love it now. Chris
  3. Does anyone make a magwell for the Diamondback AR-9R? Picking one up today and the magwell looks like a nice addition to any PCC gun. Chris
  4. Has anyone tried the lower priced one in competition to see how it runs? I would like to get into PCC but don't want to have a lot of money in it if I can help it. I already have guns for Prod, SS, CO and Limited which is why I would like to get in with less money if possible. Thanks, Chris
  5. Staff does not squad. Check your latest email and it says we will divide up Tuesday morning and shoot in small squads.
  6. I thought the 142 PF felt really light with the 180 GR bullets so I didn't try any lighter springs. It was soft enough that I went from a C to a B in a short time and now shooting a 9mm I cannot do as well. I wish I was still a C. I am actually trying to sell the 9mm XDm 5.25 now and will just use the .40 in minor if I want to shoot Production.
  7. 4.7 gr Win 231 with 180 gr Blue Bullets out of a 5" 1911 gets 170 to 172 PF depending on the heat of the day.
  8. I shot minor for a while with my 5.25 .40. I found that I needed to run at about 142 PF for the gun to cycle properly with an 11lb recoil spring. I can look up my load but I was using Win 231 with coated 180 gr bullets. I just know anything under 142 PF the gun would not cycle right.
  9. Sand paper grip tape in the heaviest grit they have. It is the best and cheapest thing you can do and it makes a big difference. I have a Dawson Ice magwell and it seems to work very well. I did have to buy new basepads as the plastic were too thick and would not lock in place. I bought metal replacements from Shooters Connection. They work very well.
  10. I have called them several times for replacement parts in the past and they are very fast when calling. They usually ship the part the same day or the next. Excellent CS when calling, I have no experience with email as I always call.
  11. I picked up a Trojan from Dawson Precision last year in a .40 with the CRP package. I was really impressed with the value for the money and it shoots really well. I am so happy I went with it when I did and I would do it all over again even if money was not an option. Go with STI and you will not regret it.
  12. I have done local matches both strong hand only and weak hand only. The SHO was when I broke a finger on my weak hand and had to shoot without it for 12 weeks. This was during the winter shooting a local 72rd match every week. By the time my finger healed I was almost as fast SHO as I was with both hands. It was really fun doing it and nice to see myself move up in the standing each week as I got better. The WHO came for only 3 weeks after a wrist surgery. It was not nearly as much fun and not long enough to really improve too much. Still better shooting WHO than not shooting at all. Especially when you are in charge of designing and setting up the match every week. I suggest trying either sometime and seeing how it is. Be very careful on reloads when doing WHO as you will need to reach across your body for the mags on your belt.
  13. And if the guy running Chrono was Ken Skeeter, he has been doing this for longer than most of us have been around. He is the best Chrono guy I have seen and I have worked several matches with him. Moto is dead on, pull one, shoot 3, shoot another 3, choice of pulling or shooting the last one. This is why we should all chrono our rounds and make them a little higher just in case. I have done chrono at home and gone to a match and been 3 or 4 PF more or less with the same ammo just a day later. Chrono's can very slightly and it is better to play it safe than sorry. I normally run about 172 PF in my .40 for either SS or Limited. That way the Chrono at the match can be off a lot compared to mine and I am still safe. Chris
  14. Please do not show up Sunday May 15th to shoot as the match has been cancelled by the MD. Thanks. P.S. I do not know why it was cancelled, just wanted to pass the info along.
  15. It is not on Practice Score. We shoot the Match on Sunday. Saturday is just for setup. It is USPSA pistol only. Sign up is in person Sunday morning from 08:30 - 09:45. Shooting starts at 10:00. Thanks
  16. Oxfords 1st Match of the year is Sunday, April 3rd. I hope you all come out and enjoy the stages. Signup begins at 8:30 AM and ends promptly at 9:45. As always we can use help with setup on Saturday April 2nd beginning at 9:00 AM. If you have never been to the club for setup, let this be the day. If everyone gave just one Saturday a year volunteering to setup at one club it would be awesome. Plus you get a chance to checkout the stages as you set them out. Thanks
  17. This month is an all classifier match. Monday matches start setup at 3:30 and start shooting around 4 or just after. We shoot 8 per squad and last squad starts somewhere around 7pm I believe. I run the set up so I am not normally around for the later squads. We shoot every Monday and stop just before Memorial day. Starts again the Monday after Labor Day.
  18. I received my match shirt last week. This is the best designed and most comfortable shirt I have gotten for a match. Jake did a great job on them. I hope he did not have to ship too many of them out to staff and shooters. Thanks again Jake.
  19. From the USPSA website: The list of eligible voters will be sent to the third party firm that independently handles the election by October 7th with ballots to be mailed no later than October 15th accepted until close of business at the Election Firm on December 1st with results reported no later than December 15th.
  20. I would like to remind everyone that the election for President of the USPSA is still going on. Please be sure to vote either online or send you ballot back in when you get it. Only having 5,000 or so out of 25,000 members vote this first time is a very poor turnout. I know you all love this sport or you would not have spent the last few days in Indiana shooting this match. BE SURE TO VOTE!!!!!!!!!! (If you shot stage 18 Saturday afternoon or Sunday you know my choice. MIKE FOLEY)
  21. Thanks to Jake for putting on another excellent match. His matches are getting better every year. I had a great time working the match again this year and look forward to doing it next year. Chris
  22. We have a mover every year at Ohio. Some years it is easier than others.
