Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. The loads are just a bit over making major power factor. We ran them through the chrony at the last IPSC match here. I think I will try to back the crimp off a bit and see if that makes a difference. I check all my loads with a case gauge before competitions and no issues there.
  2. So I am loading 40 cal with 180gr Berry's plated bullets using 5.0gr of TightGroup. I am running them through a CZ TS and find they are going sideways around 5-10yds out. What causes this? And how do I correct it? I am using a crimping die and just wondering if my crimp is too much or not enough. Any ideas?
  3. I was thinking of cutting some plastic pieces out of the same kind of material that fish filleting boards are made of...you know, the polyurethane kinda plastic...I don't know what else to call it. Anyway, if I cut it the same size as the bottom of the mags and then actually trimmed it a bit to fit inside the bottom of the magazine base, it would be perfect. I'd even glue them in if I could. I can't see ever needing to remove them once they are in. Ideally, it would be nice to have a CNC milling machine to mill some aluminum stock that would fit perfectly inside the base. Anyone have any other ideas?
  4. I just bought a cz ts aluminum magwell and realized that I need base pads to be able to seat them fully and easily. Is there anyone that sells base pads for a ts that will keep the mag capacity at 10 and aren't the $38 aluminum ones that cz custom sells? are there rubber or polymer ones that will fit? Has anyone made their own?
  5. I've been using 180gr bullets loaded with about 4.8gr of Titegroup for IPSC major. They made major in my glock, but I haven't ran them through the chrono yet in my TS. Just wondering if anyone uses 165gr 40cal bullets for IPSC major. If so, what kind of performance do you find? what loads? how do they compare to the 180gr bullets? Where is the cheapest place online to get either 180 or 165gr plated bullets? Keep in mind, I will be using them in a CZ TS for IPSC major. Thanks in advance
  6. Does anyone have any experience loading 180gr Lead Round Nose bullets for their CZ TS .40 cal? I have been loading 180 gr jacketed bullets for it with 4.8gr of Tightgroup with good results but would just like something a little more economical for plinking and practicing. Per thousand the lead are $80 here where the jacketed bullets are around $130/thousand. I could shoot quite a bit more for the price of the lead bullets. If you have any loads I should start with or any experience, I'd like to hear your comments or advice. Thanks in advance.
  7. I bought the IPSC Versa speed pouches from them. 6 pouches cost me $112 shipped to here in Canada. When I compared them side by side with a friend's CR Speed pouches, they are identical in almost every way even including the inserts for different mags. The inserts for the CZ mags are exactly like the CR Speed ones. The pouches are good value for the money...but they aren't CR Speed. If you're into name flashing then go with the CR Speed. If you want something functional in every way as a CR Speed and still have money left over for ammo, these are the mag pouches to buy then. Just my opinion.
  8. I have basically a bone stock Tactical Sport right now and would like to make a few upgrades to it such as aluminum grips and the aluminum magwell from CZ Custom. I also want to change the rear sight to an adjustable sight also available from CZ Custom. The reason for the sight change is that I heard a TS won't fit in the box for IPSC if an aluminum magwell is added. Someone might be able to verify this. Also, if I change the rear sight to an adjustable sight, would I have to change the front sight as well? I'd like to hear any input on what I should or could do. Thanks in advance

    CZ TS .40 Springs

What is the purpose of running a lighter recoil spring? What is the factory recoil spring weight?
  10. The TS in the pics is 1150+tx new at my range.

    They may ship.

  11. Previously, I was shooting a G35 in IPSC but sold my belt rig with it. I just bought a CZ TS in .40 cal. I bought a Ghost Ultimate holster and I am very happy with the fit of it. Now, I have to get some mag pouches. I have been looking at CR Speed Versa pouches, Safariland 773 mag pouches and Ghost Magazine pouches. I have also found a website selling a Beltfeed holster. It looks slick...does anyone use one? Which one do you use or would you use? I could run with 4 but would rather have 5 or 6 on my belt. Anyone have any used ones? I'd appreciate an information.
  12. What do you guys use for an overall length for your Tactical Sports .40 cal loads when loaded with 180gr bullets. I just picked up a TS and have some .40 cal loads that I loaded for my Glock G35. I loaded with 4.7gr of Tightgroup and they were making major in my G35. Just wanted to know if I have to change the overall length at all. I have it set at 1.125". These are plated bullets I'm using.
  13. I am looking at possibly buying a Super Ghost Ultimate Holster for my CZ Tactical Sports .40 cal. Does anyone know anything about these holsters? How do they compare to CR Speed? É Also, I need to know which model to get...will the one that is listed for a SGU-05, CZ ( DA, SA ) fit my pistol
  14. How does the Ghost holster compare to a CR Speed and what are any differences?
  15. I recently bought a CZ Tactical Sports in .40 cal. It came with six mags. What holster and mag pouches would be good for IPSC standard division? I used to have a Glock 35 and used a safariland 007 holster which I liked alot. Anyone have any suggestions?
