Brookers78
Hi all, thought I would see what you guys get up to in the land of the free! I'm an ex pistol, ex UKPSA member in the UK. Still shooting practical but for me it's thoses ba**ard long barreled revolvers and long barreled .22 pistols as thats all the government here allows! If anyone wants a good laugh I will post some pics of what us brits are forced to use if we want to shoot pistol! I'm mostly here to keep up to date on what you guys are up to with the matches as I run an anual 3 gun comp for my club. Sadly looking at what you guys do I realise how much us brits have forgoton about practial shooting and courses of fire since the Pistol ban in 98 I'm hoping to get some inspiration to bring real Practical back to my matches Brookers

Brookers78
I would love to see some pics of the guns you are using! Welcome to the site as well! Ok well try not to laugh too much but this is what we are reduced to. Top to bottom, .22 Browning Buckmark with Volquartsen Carbon barrel and Firepoint Red Dot. Taurus .38/.357 7 Shot, the barrel has been turned down and sleved with a tensioned alli tube and compensated. It's also been converted to full moon clips. Fitted with a Hakko Red Dot. These are UK legal as they are classed as a rifle due to the length of barrel and overall length (hence the rods sticking out the back) We can't have anything semi auto other than .22 or 12g. Bottom is my Ruger 10/22, ported, compensated with a milled receiver to take a dual sided cocking lever. Brookers
Brookers78
Hi Brookers.. FYI, I have some video from the last full year of shooting in UK on my web-site: Thanks for the links to the Vids, I remember some of those matches well, I was at Sheild only two weeks ago! Steve Pike has put on a few pounds since that video was taken, mind you most of the guys in those vids have put on some pounds and lost some hair! I recon only 15% of the faces in those vids are still shooting. If you remember a scrawny kid at Frome and District shooting a Glock 21 badly that was me.
