heinie sight widening question

I've just ordered a set of the heinie/dawson FO combination for my G34 and I have a quick question...

I've read that the stock heinie front is .125 wide, and I'm guessing that the rear notch width is just a touch over that, less than .130 for sure.

My first question is, when you widen the rear notch, what width are you taking it to? And then, with the .105 dawson FO front and stock rear, would that pretty much have the same effect as leaving the front at .125 and widening the rear? Would widening the rear with the .105 front be overkill?

P.S. I know I'm overthinking the entire thing, but humor me please

It all depends on what you like to see.

I like light bars 1/2 the width of my FS on both sides of the FS as viewed through the rear sight. I think I opened my rear Heinie (lmao) to .135. I loaned the pistol to a friend or I would measure it.

Less light on the sides of the FS will be more precise, more will be faster (to a point, of course).
