Religious Shooter
Just wondering, with name-brand powders (namely Winchester 748), will there be any appreciable point of impact change from lot to lot? The ammo will be used for 3Gun and not anything where extreme accuracy is needed. I'd rather buy in 1 lb bottles. But if it changes POI and I would have to rezero everytime, I'd rather go ahead and buy the 8lb jug.
kurtm
Yea, over the years I have noticed a bit of impact shift....like 1/2 inch up or down, nothing to worry about for 3-gun. The ammo I used for Mesa this year came from the dregs of 3 different powder lots. No big deal!!! Factory powders are rathe runiform. blkbrd
When shooting High Power at 300+ yards you will notice an impact and group shift, for 3 gun should not be a problem.
