FCS causing whizzing sound and rubbing

Always had naked slide/no FCS game guns. First time practicing dry firing and drills with the belt, holster and 1911. Using a Spartan with the wide FCS in a Uncle Mike's cheapy belt holster. There is a gigantic whizzzzing sound from the FCS rubbing the inside/left of the holster. Little bits of plastic embedded in the FCS.

Is this common?

Is it the holster design?

Or my draw technique.

It is normal for sharp edges to make a sound and shave some plastic off a holster. It should wear in (i.e. gun shaves enough material off so that it clears), but it'll also be hard on the finish of the gun. If you don't care about the finish and are happy with the holster, just keep drawing. If not, then I'd suggest a better quality holster - Comptac's are my favorite and have 3 adjustment screws so you can really dial in the fit to the gun. IIRC, the injection molded UM and BT Revo holster are a bit noisier that their Kydex counterparts.

Is is a function of draw technique? Maybe - but if it's not binding and feels okay to you, then keep rocking it!
