Law Dawg
If I'm going to shoot a shotgun stage that combines both bird shot and slugs, what choke should be on the shotgun. I'm very new to this 3 gun stuff. Thanks, LD
james h
Some say you shouldnt shoot slug through full choke so that cuts down the options but without knowing more the question is difficult to answer. Are you shooting shot at clays ? if so cylinder would do but if you have long steels to knock with birdshot i would use 1/2 or 3/4 and not worry about a few slugs through the choke unless the manufacturer recommends cylinder or 1/4 only with them. j

George
Short and sweet, Modified through IC are the typical chokes used, and all of that range are fine to shoot slugs through. Just be sure to take the time to see if changing chokes changes slug point of impact enough to be a problem. -- Regards,
