I guess I am to used to my 12.5" duty gun with a pencil barrel. I guess I should be more concerned with reducing my own unnecessary weight. smokshwn Posted February 7, 2011 Share Posted February 7, 2011 I thought that would be your answer and I don't think its worth it for 1 maybe 2 oz. Plus the little bit of sunshade does serve some good purpose other than just as a sunshade. It offers a lot of protection of the objective lens as I have noticed that my meopta objective collects far less dirt, dust, smudges, etc than other scopes. There are plenty of other places to shave weight on your AR.... you make a great example with barrel profile. Forearms are another, stocks etc. BTW without respect to losing some of my own ounces....I'm right in the same boat with you Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
