BillD
I wanted to switch my FO from red factory to green. My eyes pick up green better. Any, I fought the old one out and I can't for the life of me get a new one in. I'm mic'd them both and they are the same size but it is tight and I can't force the new FO in. Any ideas? assaulter
I had the exact same problem. It was a wrestling match, but I finally got it to go in. I wonder if they crimp that middle ring to keep it from coming out if it breaks??? That's where it was hanging up for me. I think I may have used a small amount of lube but it still got shaved off a bit. I wonder if you could sand it a little. I don't know if that would impact it's light drawing capabilities. DBTN
I have been planning on changing mine. What size is it? Thanks
EmanP
I took a round file to the inside of it and then reblued it. It's still tight but easier. I'm pretty sure it was a .060 that I used.
Kyle O
might try heating the ring up before pushing thru, I changed mine to green also, but that was years ago, and I can't remember having any issue. As cheap as fibers are, just give it a try!
DarthMuffin
I ran into the same problem when replacing my broken fiber. I ended up chasing through the hole with an appropriate sized drill bit (I think just hand-held, not chucked in a drill) before I could get the new .060 fiber to fit in. BillD
I ran a drill bit through there and it worked just fine. Thanks
