Sarge
Before spending the money on another part you can also chuck the 550 funnel in a drill and sand the expander down a little. Works great at eliminating the sticking
rgold1963
I pulled the 9mm powder funnel out tonight and am going to try sanding the expander and see what happens. Nothing to lose at this point because it's pretty much unusable the way it is. I switched over to .45 today and flew through 500rds in less than half the time the 300 of 9mm took and it was smooth as silk. Sure makes the process a lot more enjoyable! rgold1963
Following Sarge's advice, I got the funnel on the drill and using a very fine file I was able to remove a tiny amount of material from it. I then used some super fine polishing tapes from my knife sharpening kit to polish it. Just ran 200 rounds through the press and it's smooth as my other pistol calibers now. What a difference it makes when you don't have to fight to get the cases unstuck on each up stroke. I was using brand new starline brass and the cases bell perfectly now. Thanks Sarge!
