Wanted
I have loaded a lot of 200 .45ACP RN lead bullets. I was looking at some 200gr RNFP at missuori bullets. Would I load them the same COL? Powder charge?
Bouttime
I loaded some at 1.250 over 4.1 grains of clays, they were about 160 PF. But in my gun (Kimber) they were not as accurate as the 200 grain LSWC. I load these at 1.250 over 4.15 grains of clays and have about 168 PF. I do like the Missouri Bullets. Wanted
1.250 is what I was loading my LRN at. So you were loading these flat nose at the same length? That's great, I might give these Missouri's a try. Thanks.
Sarge
Wanted, check out the shoulder of the FP's when you get them. I loaded round nose in 9mm for a year and then tried some precision moly FP's. I had to load them MUCH shorter than the RN because the shoulder came out pretty far and was contacting the rifling causing some serious jam problems. You should be able to hold them up next to each other and see if that would be the case in your situation. Just make sure you drop check them in your barrel to make sure they are not too long. In my case I loaded MG 124 FMJ RN at 1.14. I had to drop all the way to 1.10 with the precision 147 FP's. With a drop that substantial make sure to adjust charge accordingly. Of course as always YMMV.
Wanted
Thanks for the tip. Now I wish I had one to compare with the Rn I use.
