Macca
Hi guys, need to load some ammo for a vintage pistol match where Im planning to shoot an old broomhandle mauser chambered for 7.63x25mm....has anyone done some loading for this cartridge? The bore is .308....manual lists .3095 as nominal projectile size....would I be able to use .314 .32 cal projectiles or would that be pushing it way too much? otherwise has anyone ever resized hardcast lead? is it doable? SLM
If you slugged the bore and it's .308 you could get some Sierra 8005's. Remington used to make a bulk .308 diameter bullet that was 85 grains or so. I think it was in their rifle line up. I've used both for 7.62x25 in CZ 52's. I've used .311" lead in my .308" barrels without issue but I don't know about .314"
