lndshrk
After thousands of rounds, my carry Glock 26 fired one round, then went into full slide lock and could be dropped using installed extended slide release, but was necessary for each round of the magazine. Any ideas what the problem could be?
EricW
The spring for the slide stop has either moved or was installed in the wrong spot or is broken. With the slide removed, pull up on the slide stop and release it. It should snap firmly down. It's an easy thing to happen on the the G26 for some reason. No biggie to fix. Been there. Done that. Got the T-Shirt.
George
My competition Glock (17L) no longer has a slide stop. Took the lil' sucker out and tossed it in my parts box after it broke it's spring and caused me to shoot an entire stage with a manually released slide on every shot. That's never gonna' happen again! Another plus was the money I saved by not needing an extended slide release -- Regards,
lndshrk
Thanks, you guys hit the nail on the head. I installed an extended slide release and the spring was faulty. Replaced with the original, good as new. Thanks again!
