Who built this gun

Any one have any idea who may have built this pistol? according to the serial number it's a 1984 Stainless Gold Cup, with a Blackened Series '80 Gold Cup slide. The rear sight has been replaced wtih a Wichita adjustable rear. The hole for the front sight has been filled in and the top of the slide recontoured. A one hole compensator has been fitted to an unmarked, threaded barrel and it has a barrel bushing that is recessed into the rear of the comp.

The sides of the slide towards teh muzzle have been contoured to match the comp. On this contour, both sides of the slide are marked "Scoprion's Stinger." the hammer is bobbed, it has an ambidexterous mag release, and the front strap, mainspring housing, bottom of the grip safety, trigger guard and the rear of the slide have been checkered. The pistol looks like something that would have been an open gun in the 80's. Anyone have any idea whod 'smithed this shooter?

Could be a Hoag gun-the hammer looks very similar to what he used to do. I used to see a lot of SWPL guys with comps that looked very similar, too. I believe Hoag called his the "Double D."

Nice gun, whoever did it. Always thought the proportions of a single stack 1911 and comp or extended slide were elegant.
