ddpenn
Quick question. I have an 11lb spring (recoil) in a shadow for light reloads. If I shoot white box occasionally with the 11lb spring will the pistol be damaged? Usually I shoot with a 14lb for factory loads. Thanks in advance for any help
burningsquirrels
No, the 11 lb is fine with WWB.
Walküre
You aren't going to hurt anything except reliability, and an 11# shouldn't even compromise that in the least. I was running down to a 8# in my Shadow, but started getting occasional FTFs and so switched back to a 10#. No problems with a 10#. I have run loads from 125PF all the way through 155PF+. I have run as low as a 9# (estimated) in my .40 TS. No failures, but cycling became erratic in less than 250 rounds fired on that setup. Currently running a 12# with ~173PF loads. (I have run as high as 180PF previously.)
