Cold Absolute Zero
We've all got some bad habits that we need to fix, spending the time to fix them and get it right, rather than just practicing what you are good at is what makes us better shooters. Plus nailing a speed reload on a field course almost feels better than 2 A's  lol CAZ

gohuskers
If you've got access to Matt Burkett's training videos watch them - they're a wonderful resource. A technique he suggests during practice is to watch the magazine all the way up to the edge of the magazine well and to stop - don't insert the magazine. This trains the eyes and shows you gun/magazine positioning and how to tweak it in such a way that it slides right into the well. You'll notice that the well/magazine are not in proper alignment and can change the way you position the gun or mag.
38supPat
If you have already been working with the mags "backwards" you can try experimenting to see how to make it more efficient. Martin Kamenicek uses this technique pretty well, I wouldn't recommend changing to it but if you are already part way down that road there's no reason not to see where it will take you.
