The ROC
Hello All, I'm trying to install a Comp Hammer on my Shadow. I've dissasembled the Shadow but I'm stuck on trying to remove the two pins holding the Disconnector and Hammer Spring Strut from the original hammer on the Shadow. I've tried tapping the pin out from either side and the pins are not moving at all, the only thing happening is my thin punch is bending. Is there a trick to it or do I need to drill out the pins? Thanks for your help. Edited July 9, 2010 by The ROC
eerw
The pins are a very tight fit. need to use a punch this shape to start. This shape won't bend. Don't tap, whack hard. This will get them started then you can use a 2mm punch. Don't drill it. you could change the hole dimensions. Edited July 9, 2010 by eerw

Are the pins a one way pin meaning Do I drive the pins right (ejector port) to left or left to right? Thanks again
eerw
I usually drive left to right, but no..they are not.
Jody Waring
These pins are tough to get out, but as eerw stated use that type of punch in the pic to get it started, you will be surprised how tight they are. I actually am going to make myself a set of pin punches at work specifically for these pins. Let us know how you make out.
