pjb45 Posted July 2, 2010 Share Posted July 2, 2010 I have traveled a lot over these past 10 years. About 15% of the time, I travel with a firearm. I had always heard Chicago airports were among the worst with regards to luggage being ransacked. Well, I had a layover at Midway today and the handle on my roller bag was broken. It was a high dollar Swiss Army roller bag. That was a pain to deal with at the time. Later, when I finally opened my bag, two DVDs were stolen from it. I am beginning to believe it might be safer to ship my firearm to my destination rather than put it in my luggage. I definitely will not be traveling with a firearm with a layover in Chicago.
