caz41
I am looking at the DPMS Carbon Fiber fore end. It says that it needs to be installed by a gunsmith. Is this just a disclaimer from the company or no? Is this something that your run of the mill joe like me can do in my basement. Thanks.
aessu
It can be done easily at home, if you got the right tools - upper receiver vice block, barrel nut wrench and a torgue wrench.
Dan Sierpina
That's a standard disclaimer. The right tools are required. For that handguard, you'll need a strap wrench, and a barrel nut wrench to remove the old barrel nut. That's in addition to the reciever block. A solidly mounted vise to hold everything is needed too.
