Pretty sure he actually does sell them and he's done a good job following the rules in this thread.

It's honestly been a pretty long time since I fired a gun with a *thumb rest [generic]* (probably getting close to 5 years now) so I really don't remember well enough to give you a good answer. I do plan on putting one on my next blaster, I'll be able to answer your question better then.

I didn't realize he had anything to do with them. And yes he did a great job by not posting even after my repeated attempts to get him too
