Steve Anderson
I thought I'd test the whole "production speed thing" yesterday, and blew it. Shooting as fast as possible is fun, but gettin' A's and winning the division is more fun. I tanked it. But I learned, or actually reinforced what I already knew. See what I need to see, forget about the clock. Although I hate finishing poorly, the lesson is so valuable, I'm glad it happened. Now I know what I need to do. This was the first match in months that I had to wait for the scoring to see my hits. Until yesterday, I already knew what they were. vluc
Nice post, Steve. i have to echo it. While I'm not where many of you are, i truly do enjoy shooting and have decided, like Ron in his post and Steve here, to trust what I can do, call the shots, relax and have fun. davenelson
I had to do the same thing to see for myself. A balance of speed and accuracy is required.
BSeevers
Most people cannot even recognize their "problems" much less correct them. If you are learning then you are getting better. Good luck. You are shooting very well for your short tenure in IPSC. I have wasted years blasting at targets. I used to be REAL fast if you know what I mean. Steve Anderson
Thanks Bill. This will be my first full season of IPSC, and I've immersed myself in it as fully as my resources will allow. 75% of my improvement has been made since my enrollment here...See ya soon.
