Steve Koski
Are the aftermarket/replacement Lone Wolf Distribution slides legal in ESP? In particular, the G34 slide. http://www.lonewolfdist.com/ItemMedia/10000/10000_782.jpg http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1187 Thanks, Koski Whoops. Only one f in Wolf. CrankyCrash
I've seen them used at sanctioned matches (Regional and State) in Texas. There is nothing in the rulebook about specifics, other than slide lightening is prohibited.
Steve Koski
They do have front cocking serrations, but these aren't considered illegal/slide lightening when performed on other guns (1911's in CDP). So I figure they're legal for ESP. Glad to hear they're ok in ESP Texas style. Koski

Koski Since the slide release on the 34/35 was made legal for all models...a reasonable person would assume since the 34/35 has a cut in the slide other slides in that configuration would also have to be legal for that barrel length. That is a whopper of an opening in the top of the slide. I would compare the weight of the slide to a G34 slide because an opponent of your idea is going to go next to the added weight for a competitive advantage argument since it is most favored by those who oppose bringing a Glock up to division weight limit for more recoil control to better place lifesaving followup shots and limit your liability. Duane Thomas
Let's go light on the "life saving follow-up shots and limit your liability" discussion. We are here to discuss competition shooting, not self-defense shooting. Please reread the Forum Guidelines. Thanks.
