Walküre Posted April 12, 2010 Share Posted April 12, 2010 Slide going forward from you hitting the release, or because of the "slam-load" technique? If the latter, then try the former first. It could be that the mag is still in motion or otherwise not properly seated when the slide actually releases - by a split second, but just enough to upset the loading process. I installed new Wolf +10% springs in my 75B mags and they need to break in, or will have feed issues. How old is the recoil spring? Many feed errors are caused by weak Recoil springs. burningsquirrels Posted April 12, 2010 Share Posted April 12, 2010 Could be premature activation of the slide stop like walkure says. Also check the strength of mag springs, the bottom of the breech face, magazine lip width, and that your ammo (particularly the nose profile of the bullet) doesn't bump or interfere with the slide stop during loading.
