sixinch
Now that there is a considerable number of Polish Plate Racks out there. I wanted to start a thread for everyone to post and share the different ways they have set up and shoot the PPR. Such as placement of hard cover, plates left off, activators, etc. etc. It will be fun to see what we come up with.............sixinch Edited March 31, 2010 by sixinch
Tim Egan
We had a man on man shoot-off recently after range cleanup. Alternating plate color across the top and bottom, black, white, etc. shooter on left takes black plates, right takes white. End on a split popper. was pretty fun, I'd like to try having the four black plates all on the left side and the white ones on the right. Might make it move more. Tim Egan
This one belongs in match screwups. PPR was set up with a hard cover plate covering the lower left outside plate while at rest. First seven shots were quick, but the last plate had to slowly swing behind the hard cover. <evil laugh>I wonder what would happen if you had four hard cover plates covering the bottom row, and put both weights on one side, and activated the PPR with a steel popper?????? </evil laugh> TimE
LPatterson
Tim, If you put that in Area 1 we might have to have a serious discussion out behind the barn. The PPR is evil enough when shooting a BRT.
Jesse Tischauser
Who makes the PPR? Our club needs one badly!
Tim Egan
Send a note to Sixinch, he knows some people who know the people that makes it. And thats all I am saying, I gotta learn to keep my mouth shut I think that BRT means Boy Renamed Tim.
LPatterson
That was not my original meaning and I think you may be getting paranoid Tim but it does fit. Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean there is not someone out waiting to get you. I am reserving final judgement until you post the stages. Tim Egan
I am much too busy chasing all the people that are after me to be paranoid! TimE
sbo76
I always shoot the target at the top of the rack to stall it. Once stalled, its just a plate rack.
hopalong
We put a barrel ontop of a barrel one side or the other, just offcenter enough so there will be no plates that are not "shootable". Pretty mean setup. Today we shot it through a 4 foot high port. Not nice to tall folk, or short folk at four feet to the top. Plenty of brass on the ground. the hardest so far is shooting it at 25 yds. Hop
