Hey QuicksDraw!
I helped design and was the RO for a four stage forty round IDPA match held at Classic Pistol in Southampton, Pa last night. They are going to start having IDPA matches twice a month! They are going to try the first as well as the third Tuesdays of the month. We set up the match and had no shooters yet so I go to the lounge and fall asleep. John Ricco (owner and friend) wakes me up from a good Rem 3 sleep and say’s “Hurry up! You have a shooter to run!” I apologized for falling asleep as he pushes me along. We get to the range and there is no one there! I look inquisitively at him as I yawn. He laughs at me and says ‘Shooter, load and make ready.” Stress Test! He made me shoot the match within sixty seconds of waking up! I did not protest as I thought it to be an excellent test, I have never had to “Snap Too!” prior to shooting. I did O.K.; of course I could have done better. John is now on my payback list. TriggerT
Interesting idea! I fell asleep between stages at Area 3 this year, but had the time of the walk through to wake up. For IDPA, a shoot within a minute of waking up, is WAY practical, and VERY COOL.
