Spray_N_Prey
Ok well my open gun has been running perfect until last Sunday. I had like 5 light primer strikes. I retrieved all the unfired brass and found out that all the primers were from a pack of CCI Benchrest small rifle primers that I had laying around. Could it be the gun was dirty or something else or could it just be that those primers might be too hard? Thanks, Shawn G.
CocoBolo
If it was you only have 95 to go. Most common cause is not seated. Take the ones that did not go off and give them anohter try if they go off it is most liklley not seating. Take firing pin out clean cavity and pin and inspect for damage. I have not seen any 2011's that won't set off rifle primers mine even sets off military primers reliably and it has a 17# main spring that has been cut off slightly. edwin garcia
check your firing pin spring length, too. it may be short.
Foxbat
I had EXACTLY the same experience with Remington Bench Rest SR primers just a couple months ago. My guns never have problem with any other primers, but with these I would say 10% were misfires. So I simply stopped using them.
