Rufus The Bum
Anyone shoot or own one of TGO's signature series pistols. Springfield's price is about $500 more than actual retail, so it's an incredible deal for what you get. I'm just considering another Single Stack. The ONLY thing I'm not incredibly excited about is that it's only in .45, I was kinda wanting a 9mm.
Joe D
You might want to look at the Kimber or the Loaded SA in 9mm.
Rufus The Bum
Oh I'd go with the .45 at this price. Just looking for inputs as to overall quality of this series of pistols. I'm sure TGO wouldn't bet his reputation on a crappy pistol with his name all over it.
kimel
I haven't shot one (yet) but the one I handled at a dealer seemed very nice. Fit and finish were above what I usually see on Springfield stuff (which is NOT to say this is bad to start with). The muttonhead behind the counter asked me who "Rob Letterman" was, if he was any good and what "TGO" stood for. He then proceeded to tell me that guns weren't his usual dept. No, really? I would probably swap out the grips. Smooth grips and I just don't get along. Plus, I wouldn't want to fill up Rob's signature with pro-grip and other assorted crud.
