Also...FYI, Since you're located in Europe, you might want to check to see if Saul Kirsch at Double Alpha still has any units available.
Rick
Thanks Rick,
Saul is a great guy, very commited to our sport.
I already ordered from him or bought from his tent at major matches around Europe. Always perfect service.
But in Europe, the price of the KISS is very expensive at Euros 600 (equals to US$ 775 at today's rate).
I understand the price, as there is transport cost + 20% VAT + margin, ... but I might just wait to see how the rcbs unit performs... or wait to see if you can lower your prices
Congrats again for yout great product !

Hi George,
You might want to contact Luca Zolla (member here and on the Global Village).
Luca leaves near Milan, and is a member of the board of the Italian ipsc federation (www.fitds.it), great guy and good shooter
Their 2009 calendar is not out yet, but for sure there will be some matches in the Milan/Brescia area, that I might attend also.
Luca might also point you to some club matches...
Hope this helps.

Did any of you see the RCBS Bullet Feeder in action ? Pics, vids ?

Dude, how could you tease us like this...
No pics?
A little google search pointed me to: http://glarp.atk.com/2009/2009_NewProductS...CBS_NPS2009.pdf

Looks like I might have to ramp up my competitive juices.
Crazy World...Ain't It?
Wouldn't it be great if a company like Dillon would manufacture and sell your bullet feeder ?
Don't get me wrong, it's NOT a criticism towards you in any way.
I just happen to think your product is great, and have been waiting for over 6 month to be able to buy one once you resume shipping... (now I might just wait to compare with rcbs's if it's out before you start shipping again).
It would just fit nicely and naturally in the Dillon product range, with 100% availability and maybe a lower price (big company, more exposure, bigger distributor network, scale savings, ...).
Btw, I'm also an inventor of some kind, and hesitate all the time between manufacturing my products, or selling a licence...

Thanks Benny.
No I should post in the classified that I'm looking for a .40 top end
-
Hi there,
I know that a .45 breechface is cut bigger than a .40.
But I also know of some guns that run 100% with a 9mm barrel fitted in a .40 slide.
Has anyone tried to fit a .40 barrel in a regular .45 slide? If yes, are there any tricks to make it run?
Thanks a lot and merry Christmas !!

Thanks a lot Bob and vince.
I'll try to stop by at both a club and a shop. I'll let you know.

Looks like I won't find a gunshop or range in the bay area...
-
Hi all,
Long time no see...
I'll happen to be in the area for 3 days next week, and am looking for a nice, friendly, big gunshop in this area... If it's practical shooting oriented, no problem at all
And if there's a match somewhere around, on Thursday night, I'm in also.
Thanks,
Jerome.

What about this ?:
Cut the slide the "Beretta" way (ie remove everything from the front barrel lug to the bushing area.
Then design a mount that places the sight in the Beretta cut. I thik that with a bushing-type barrel, you could go very low...
Kind of like this, but lower mounted:
-
Slide diameter at mouth is not very "round", with a min .701" and a max .705".
STI bull barrel is .697".
People at Essex just told me: "The slide end should be around .701. You can look in Brownells and find any bushing around this dim. and it will work."
-
Thank you guys.
Benny, I was thinking of an oversize Briley bushing with spherical ring. Any info ?
Or what other brand/model would you recommend ?
-
Brownells has an EGW ignition package I haven't seen anywhere else. It includes their awesome hard sear, a matching hammer, a long disconnector, and a sear spring. Only $85 retail, only a fiver more than the Koenig hammer alone, which EGW makes anyway. I figure the sear and generic hammer must be matched as well as the sear and Koenig hammer, so I took a chance on it. I'll report back when it's up and running.
Erik,
Have you installed the combo yet ?
-
I'm thinking of buying a Barsto barrel through Brownells. This would be a Match Bull barrel, .45 ACP, w/n ramp to be fitted on a new Essex Arms enhanced slide. (Brownells # 033-000-245).
My question is :
Does anybody know the outside diameter of the Barsto barrels at the muzzle, where it contacts the front of the slide ?
I'm asking because I have another new bull barrel, from STI, for another project, that is loose with this particular slide at the muzzle.
Thanks for your help.

Also from the forum, Myro Lopez, who happens to be Range Master for the shotgun match...

I'll be there also, and am planning to have a great time !!!!
Let's organise a get together, I'm sure uncle Vinnie and Myro (Orimar) have got some ideas...
