  1. Hi,

Not that I want to put media manufacturer out of business, but you should give a look at rice. Yes, just plain rice, with a spoonfull of polish (I use "Mirror" brand) and a few drops of Hoppes 9. Cases come out very clean in an hour or so.

I tried it the first time when I got my tumbler as a gift on a Sunday: all gunshop were closed, and we can't find corncob or crushed walnuts over here. Just head on to the kitchen, and voila !

  2. If you know a Dentist (or someone in this kind of field), they can do it for you.

Actually, I talked to my Dentist, who happens to be my Dad, about custom fit earplugs. He said he could make some, and brought two kind of pastes that had to be mixed. After 2-3 trials to get the right material, he just put some of the mix in my ear, custom fit it, and add a neck rope. Voila ! Free, really custom fit, most comfortable, ear plugs.

  3. Icer,

I bought 2 8-rounder, 'cause my brother lives in CA, and he's not allowed 10+ mags. And I live abroad, so he is the only way for me to get them.

If someone has a 20 or 30 ata good price for a AR70 first generation , not the second with stanag mag (eventhough I don't know what a stanag mag is ?), I'll buy it.

  4. Brian,

I'm sorry for the bad experience you had in France.

We have to make up with that.

So, why don't you come to south of France (where Julien & I live) and shoot the Mediterranean Cup next May ? This is a level 3, 24 stages, 360 cartridges (min). Last year (18 stages) we had a blast :) , shooters came from all over Europe and Israel, great weather (shortage of suncream), fabulous shoot off. Shooters who travel a lot said that was one of the best matches around, and I beleive them, even though I got DQ...

I'm sure you'll find a bunch of very friendly individuals, and will go back with a different opinion about France.

Of course, anyone who wants to come along with Brian is much welcome.

  5. Bill,

    What I did is:

Don't download the files, open them from their current location. You can then find them in cwindowstemporary internet files.

You'll need Winzip to unzip, then a player like Windows Media Players. If you want to save them, put (copy/paste) them in another file.

It worked for me, except with one that appeared to be an image (?).

Hope this help, because they are nice movies.

  6. A dictionary would be of much help, especially for us foreigners !!

I can figure BTW and a few more. But what the H... does IMHO, lol and the others mean???

  7. Chriss,

I use a hogue powerspeed without problem. But I'm still willing to learn.

Why did your gun fall ? Did you forget to lock it up ? (It happened to me once, hopefully during training).

I heard several guys had been DQ'ed with this holster in the US. Is there any conception problem with it ?

    Jerome.

  8. Hello,

I'd like to give a try to the El P., but don't know the distance for the 3 targets. Can someone help ?

If you want to cry for a while, just check Eric Grauffel's video of this drill. If I remember, the time is around 3.8 - 3.9 sec, all As !! I think you can download it from ipsc.org, or I can email it.

    Jerome.
