Update: So I finally found a good deal and decided to make an SP-01 safety model my first CZ! I got a good deal on it for $500 and really wanted/needed a project. I feel better about experimenting on a $500 gun as opposed to a $1299 gun. I am am trying to ease my way into modifications and this is what I order from CGW.... -SRS 2 kit. 11lb recoil spring SS Guide rod reduced power trigger return spring Coming from shooting Glocks a lot I felt I wanted to try and reduce the reset. No idea how that cam works...lol Can I use the polymer guide rod that comes with it with the 11lb spring? I wasn’t sure so I ordered the SS one.... Can I replace the trigger return spring and reuse the factory roll pin?? Or should I have ordered a replacement? i really appreciate all the advise. Thanks for pushing me out of my Glock and 2011 comfort zone toward a new gun T

Not to hijack, but the S2 grips (even the LOK ones?) fit on an SP-01? T

So are the SP-01 18rd mags compatible with the S2? Are the mecgar mags actually reliable 100%?? T

Thanks for the links. So do the factory S2 mags hold 17rds due to a +1 base pad? And the 18 round factory mags I am seeing as just +2 base pads??? T

I decided to buy a Shadow 2 and was wanted to pick up a few extra magazines. What is the factory mag that comes with it? I found 18rd “SP-01” mags but the S2 magazines are listed as 17 rounds?? Anyone have a link to the best deal or explain what mag I want? Thanks T

Thanks again. So if I change springs I need a mainspring(11.5#) , trigger return spring, and a reduced FP spring? Am I missing anything? i think I would get the longer FP too? And I really do not like the curve on the trigger.... does the 85c trigger just “drop in”?? Thanks for all the advise! T

Ok I gotcha. We do not have an SP-01 Shadow locally. Only the normal SP-01 and Shadow2.... lots of models.....

How is the Shadow different from the SP-01? You are not talking about the Shadow 2 right? And why not just bump up to the Shadow2 then? thanks T

Thanks for the advise! I did go down to my LGS and played with the SP-01 and a Shadow2. I think the trigger in the SP-01 was to use another persons words here...”disappointing”. Horrible DA pull. I think the Shadow2 was better but it’s realllly heavy. I did like the grip though. Not sure about weight and transitions with it. I like the idea of doing it myself and understanding the gun better. Sounds like money will be a wash but cheaper up front if I go SP-01. And gotcha do not get a decocker. T

Hey all, i am am looking into dipping into the CZ waters and I am wondering how to proceed. I like to understand how my pistols work. I can buy an SP-01 for like $559 or a CZC Gun is $995. Can I upgrade it myself for less by buying the stock gun and getting CZC or CGW parts?? I have always worked on my own Glocks and I can take my 2011 apart and put it back together. Is the CZ hard to work on? Thanks T

Hey all, Thinking of shooting Carry Optics and wondered what most guys are doing for the optic? Is milling a slide for a Deltapoint better than just getting a Glock MOS? It seems like maybe you could get the optic lower if you milled it? Or does it not really matter how low it is? Thanks T

2 MOA with a T1.... 4 MOA max if using an older T1. Never had a problem in any light conditions T
