  2. Only your blood level tests can tell you that. In my case with my open guns yes FMJ vs JHP is a huge difference. I only shoot outdoors. You could train yourself to hold your breath while shooting so you don't inhale atomized lead in the gas blowing into your face from your comp but...
  3. You have to catch Atlanta when they do their sales. Recently they had 15% off their Elite 38sc + free shipping which ended up being basically the same as Eley. Plus they have a rewards program that can rack up discounts. Go for the cheapest round unless you care about your lead intake. I shot 30k Eley before realizing it was elevating my blood lead levels. Switched to hollow points and it went back down. Best to just grab a press and load if you can!
  4. 3N38 produces significantly more gas than N105, I've tried both loads in my SV and the 3N38 is far superior. 9.6gr 3N38 vs 10.0gr N105
  5. Ran a DAA Alpha-X, then DAA Flex, now Everglades. Everglades is the way. For me smoother and faster than the DAA with zero snags.
  6. Try a 7# spring and running hotter ammo
  7. Have tried Atlanta Arms Elite JHP and it works well - 3N38 powder so a bit more gas vs Eley (n105) which I'm sure your Limcat will like. Also JHP helps with accuracy and less lead in your comp and less atomized lead in your face. It's also what the AMU (Army Marksmanship Unit) runs. Like Eley it's USPSA certified ammo.
  8. I still had problems with the Canik mag + MBX followers/springs.
  9. Seems related to the way the feed lips and top of mag are shaped.
  10. MBX mags are solid. Work great and solved the over insertion issue I was having with Canik mags.
  11. So the MBX Competition mags fix this issue! Just confirmed it myself.
  12. Anyone shooting the Eley Competition PCC ammo (115gr or 124gr) with their JP5?

  14. Has anyone tried the Eley PCC ammo and chrono it?
  15. Which bullet weight did you prefer of the Eley?
