  1. Thanks for all the responses folks.......excuse me while I whip this out (my credit card).... I'm going shopping. Brad, Boom-Boom -- you evil ones got me started wanting to modify my (almost) trusty Bushy. Appreciate the opportunity to fondle your firearm - had great fun in Texas. Don't think I'll make Area 4, but we will send "The Large Hairy One".
  2. I had the opportunity to handle a few AR's recently with the slim front sights and they were much more better. What size do you folks favor, and where the heck can I find one? I guess size does matter, and in this case smaller is better (I bet Gordo likes the sound of that)
  3. On a similar note, I have been contemplating the free float tube issue also. Can anyone tell me if they have any experience regarding the accuracy of their gun before and after installation of a free float tube? I am wondering if there is any real increase in performance to justify the money. Thanks!
  4. Ok, the suspense is killing me ...... what the heck did Bevan do to your gun?
  5. To answer my own post.... I had a chance to try out some Remington RR slugs this past weekend, and some full power slugs.....now I know what Benny meant. The RR slugs ran just fine. I also shot a bunch of 7 1/2 3 dram 1 /18 ounce loads and they ran just fine, so I am fired up --- no more pain.
  6. Nope, no threaded end cap. Double checked and even dug out the manual. Parts diagram clearly shows a one piece tube, threaded only in the receiver (not ready to try and take that out yet). The muzzle end of the tube has a plunger type arrangement inside and the ends of the tube are crimped in to keep it in place. Chriss, I appreciate your help though. Do you have an M3? I am wondering if the model changed over the years. Mine is a post-ban, maybe '98 manufacture. Thanks.
  7. Hummm.....well then maybe my question is M3 specific....my tube is one piece and appears permanently affixed to the receiver (I cant figure out how to disconnect it anyway).
  8. How do you get the dern mag tube open so you can clean in there. My Benelli went goofy on me for just a little while today....seemed like the spring in the mag tube got kinked up or something. I thought I would just pop it open and hoze it off, but nothing doing....looks like a bank vault. There has to be a way to do this.......anyone....anyone?? I have an M3 if it matters. Thanks.
  9. Wakal, if you bring that to the Texas 3 Gun that will be worth my trip just to see that thing. The Coon-Ass militia plans to attend. (Edited by HiCapMag at 9:23 pm on Mar. 8, 2003)
  10. LOL Benny, I'm curious how many rounds you have through that 10 year old Benelli? How reliable has it been over that time? Thanks
  11. I forgot to ask -- are they really "reduced" recoil?
  12. Well, like the title says.....does anybody with a Benelli use the low recoil buckshot or slugs? I am wondering if they would cause any "issues". THanks. (Edited by HiCapMag at 8:07 pm on Feb. 19, 2003)
